The UF Health community was saddened by the news of legendary physicist Stephen Hawking’s passing. For more than 50 years, Hawking battled ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

University of Florida neuromuscular neurologist and MBI member James Wymer, M.D., Ph.D., C.P.I., FAAN, discusses this unforgiving disease and why multidisciplinary care is so important for patients with ALS.
