UF Health earns depression center of excellence designation
Regina Bussing, M.D., professor and chair of the UF department of psychiatry, recently commented on UF Health’s new center for excellence designation from the National Network of Depression Centers, or NNDC. The NNDC works to build connections among its members in order to advance scientific discovery and provide evidence-based, stigma-free care to patients affected by depressive and bipolar illnesses.
“It’s really timely that we are joining this national effort. It will really help us to expand our efforts at prevention, clinical care and also at recovery for persons affected by depression and mood disorders,” said Bussing.
