Panel discusses mental illness stigma facing minorities

Pumariega was joined by Michelle Jacobs-Elliott, M.D., a UF Student Health Care Center staff psychiatrist, and Micah E. Johnson, Ph.D., a UF College of Public Health & Health Professions postdoctoral fellow.

“We’ve got to be brave enough to ask our children if they are thinking about committing suicide,” Pumariega said.
