Malú Tansey, Ph.D., co-director of UF’s Center for Translational Research in Neurodegenerative Disease (CTRND), was featured in a recent Nature Podcast, discussing how her team helped lead the way in UF’s efforts to help researchers safely return to the lab following while still navigating the COVID-19 crisis.
UF researchers are currently under Stage 2 guidelines of UF’s Research Resumption Plan and re-engaging with studies that have been interrupted since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Labs may now allow one person per 250 square feet of space, with 6 feet of social distancing between people.
“It required a little bit of a culture change, but so far so good,” Tansey said.
