Andrew Moore, a Ph.D. student in the department of neuroscience, is the latest investigator to be featured in MBI Rising Stars, a video series highlighting up-and-coming neuroscience researchers at UF.
Working in the labs of Sara Jo Nixon, Ph.D., and Ben Lewis, Ph.D., Moore is conducting research focused on the impact of alcohol use on adolescents and gathering data for the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development℠ Study (ABCD Study®), the largest long-term study of brain development and child health ever conducted in the U.S., for which the University of Florida is a study site.
Moore serves as the president for the North Central Florida Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience.
