The MBI’s Education and Outreach Committee is now accepting nominations for two award programs: the Toffler Leadership Awards and the McKnight Leadership Awards. The deadline to submit nominations for both awards is March 15, 2023.
For both awards, the funds serve to recognize MBI students and faculty who have shown outstanding leadership in neuroscience research and/or education. Faculty nominators must be MBI members (click link to join for no cost).
Toffler Leadership Awards
Funded by the Karen Toffler Charitable Trust for Neuroscience Research and Education Fund, the Toffler Leadership Awards recognize excellence in neuroscience research and/or education by students enrolled in a Ph.D., M.D. or combined doctoral program at UF.
The MBI has dedicated $2,500 per year in support of this program, and up to three awards are provided annually.

McKnight Leadership Awards
Through funding provided to the MBI, the McKnight Leadership Awards recognize excellence and outstanding leadership in neuroscience research and/or education by postdoctoral and clinical fellows, as well as assistant professors who are MBI members.
The MBI has dedicated $2,500 per year in support of this program, and two awards are expected to be provided annually.
