Meet the Team

Todd Taylor

Todd Taylor first joined UF Health Communications in 2014 as a communications coordinator for the Strategic Communications team. He previously worked as a public relations associate for University of Florida Performing Arts and served as a journalist for several publications, including as sports editor for the Hendricks County Flyer and Zionsville Times Sentinel in the greater Indianapolis area. He holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Central Florida and a master’s degree in journalism from Ball State University.

Michelle Koidin Jaffee

Michelle Koidin Jaffee is the science writer for the McKnight Brain Institute. In more than 20 years as a journalist, she worked as a reporter for the Associated Press in six cities and as a features writer for the San Antonio Express-News. In 2006, she wrote a weekly column for the Express-News about life with her infant twins during her husband’s deployment to Iraq. Before joining the UF Health staff in February 2016, she also served as a regular contributor to the American Heart Association’s news site. A native of Chicago, she graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied government and Spanish.

Jackie Hart

Jackie Hart first joined UF Health in 2015 as a science writer at what is now the UF College of Medicine’s department of health outcomes & biomedical informatics. She later served at UF’s Wilmot Gardens, assiting with online communications and community relations. She’s lived in San Diego, Las Vegas and Orlando, and graduated from UF with a bachelor’s degree in advertising. In her current role with the MBI, she specializes in digital communications efforts, including websites, graphic design and social media.
