This is the only student led-and-founded Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience. Every year, the Chapter organizes its own conference, which includes an invited, internationally recognized neuroscientist, a poster competition, a data blitz competition, a brain bee & a professional development roundtable.
Every year, PhD students and postdocs in Neuroscience organize BAW activities for students at local K-12 public schools. Activities are age appropriate, and range from making brain hats in Kindergarten to dissecting sheep brains in middle school and leading to ethical & philosophical discussions in high school. Homeschoolers can attend BAW instruction at UF.
