Dr. Regina Bussing honored with 2022 UF College of Medicine Lifetime Achievement Award.
Dr. Carol Mathews begins her new role as interim chair of UF’s department of psychiatry, succeeding Dr. Regina Bussing who led the department for more than seven years.
Dr. Bussing currently holds the position of professor and chief of faculty development in the department of psychiatry at UF. Her research expertise spans mental health services, measure development, pharmaco-epidemiology, psychotherapy intervention, and clinical pharmacology trials research.

Regina Bussing, M.D., chair of the department of psychiatry, was recently featured in a multimedia story by WCJB TV20 about UF Health's new center of excellence designation from the National Network of Depression Centers.
The NNDC is a consortium of leading academic health centers accelerating research, education and improved treatment options for patients suffering from depression, bipolar disorder and other mood disorders.
