Connect. Grow. Make a Difference.
Neuro(PD)² is a postdoc-led organization supported by the McKnight Brain Institute, dedicated to empowering postdoctoral researchers in neuroscience and related fields. Through professional development, service opportunities, and community-building events, Neuro(PD)² creates space for connection, learning, and leadership.
What we do
Professional Development
From grant-writing workshops to career panels and faculty Q&As, we offer targeted events that help postdocs expand their skills and prepare for the next stage in their careers. We also started the MBI’s only postdoc seminar series, allowing our trainees to practice speaking and sharing their research in a supportive environment.
Service & Outreach
We’re committed to giving back. Members of Neuro(PD)² organize and participate in outreach activities that bring neuroscience to the broader community, from local STEM fairs to campus volunteering efforts. We also established a Brain Buddies mentoring program that pairs postdocs with current masters/PhD students for one-on-one mentoring and career advice
Social Events
Science is better with friends. Whether it’s a happy hour, trivia night, or coffee social, our events help build meaningful connections among researchers across departments.
